A Big Birthday Celebration

The team at The Big Collective were contacted by the lovely Nicola who was planning an extra special 13th birthday party for her son, Joshua. As the family had recently moved house, Joshua had not long started at his new secondary school, so Nicola wanted to plan a celebration where all of his old and new friends could meet. She had booked a venue in Battersea, South West London, so was looking for the perfect finishing touches for Joshua, his friends and family to enjoy!
Adding A Tasty Twist
What we did
After emailing back and forth with Nicola, together we decided that hiring a chocolate fountain would be the best route for the 13th birthday celebrations – because what teenagers doesn’t love an endless supply of chocolate?! As she had already arranged finger buffet-style catering for the party, the chocolate fountain would be the perfect touch to add a sweet treat to her food display. To make sure that there was plenty of delicious dipping foods to go round and that there would be something to meet everyone’s tastebuds, Nicola opted for a combination of all eight available, including marshmallows, mini doughnuts and strawberries for the guests.
On the day of Joshua’s birthday party, a member of The Big Collective team travelled to the venue to set up the chocolate fountain. Extras such as napkins, plates and dipping sticks are all provided as standard in our package, so these were laid out on the table, accompanied by trays of tasty dipping foods. Nicola also chose to have a uniformed attendant from our team on hand for the duration of the party for some extra help. It’s fair to say that the chocolate fountain went down an absolute storm and we hope that Joshua had an amazing birthday celebration!
